I grabbed the wrong picture, but those warm summer days do look nice! We are between the holiday season and maple syrup season. There is all sorts of things needing done. Its cold and icy currently, but soon the warm days will make the sap run. I am slowly getting ready for the coming big job.

It is a sweet reward for all the hard work.

We are checking the roads for down trees and limbs. We are gathering supplies and tools. Soon the set-up and preseason clean up will begin. It’s a little too cold to be playing in the water yet, but that day is fast approaching!

So, in between the seasons, I am staying busy feeding animals, battling frozen manure in places and waiting patiently. Maple season makes a guy anxious. It’s hard to plan on which day to tap. The key is to be reved up and ready to go….not always my strong suit, but I get it done!
