Cold Days Warm Hearts

We have been in the deep freeze, but good things are still happening! We gave some very cold wagon rides to people in attendance at “Winterfest” . A celebration held in Geneva Ohio, where winter is lauded. This year the praises went out loud and clear. It was a balmy 12 degrees F. Much fun was had by all.

Out of nowhere, spring poked through and we finally got up above freezing after almost 3 weeks of old-fashioned winter. The temperatures in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s was welcomed.

We got to, once again, give wagon rides. This time , a week later to more royalty. Instead of Winter princesses, it was Prom night.

The ladies got their hair done.

And their nails too :o)

We had them all prettied up for “Night to Shine” a special night for special needs people. It was so very much fun to see the smiles on the prom goers. They liked our dear ladies Amee and Abby.

The girls stood for pictures and love after giving each load of folks a ride. They were the hit of the party…after dining and dancing of course! We were honored to be invited and to be part of such a heart warming evening.

So yes we shivered a little, but our hearts were warmed by the smiles and waves. We are looking forward to next year!

Maple syrup season has arrived. We are scrambling to get everything ready, the trees tapped and the tanks cleaned again. Here we go. Once more sweet reward knocking on our door.
