Maple syrup season has been completed. All the cleaning and storage is underway. The trees have been untapped and we are looking ahead to what springtime brings!
The spring work of spreading manure, plowing and such will begin as soon as some of the mud dries up. Foaling season is also very close to beginning. We are working young horses into the mix so when maternity leaves start, we will still have a good workforce.
Today, we gave carriage rides in the Ashtabula Harbor historical district for Riverbend hotel. It was very warm yesterday, but today old man winter blew his strong cold breath on us the whole time we were there….it was cold.

The Suffolk horses on the brick street seemed to fit like a page out of a history book. We saw a lot of smiles today as folks enjoyed family, friends and made a few new memories. It was a blessing to be a part of it…no fooling!
