Knight & Hoss after a day of muddy work

     Just the other night, after a day of work with the horses, I took the new sap sled out to the sugarhouse, as our last job of the day. The moon was full and just coming up. It was a very nice ride. The weather was warmer than our usual February temperatures, so I just enjoyed myself.

 

     My harness could use a good scrubbing, but the mud keeps everything pretty well dirty. Some day soon, cleanliness will return, but for now, we will just keep playing in the mud.

 

    I worked all day yesterday in the sugarhouse. The plumbing job has been completed. I am ready for the season to start. In fact, I will try to boil water in the next few days, just to test everything….but I think I am ready 😮

 

     The moonlight was wonderful, as was the feeling, that the day was done. I had once again accomplished a few things on my list and the full moon was like the period at the end of a sentence…. So I finished chores, put everything away and went to bed.
