My disappearing lap is usually caused by my belly, but in this case my puppy is getting too big. He still thinks there should be room, but as you can see, he doesn’t quite fit anymore 😮
Watching this dog grow is fun. He was a little snot not too long ago. Then it was a little funny watching his surprised look when he would hit his head on the table. Then he learned to duck only to have his back scrape under there. Now, he looks down at our plates, but doesn’t swipe our food … and he still has 7 weeks to go to be one year old.
The progression is faster, but much like watching children grow up. They are just babies, then awkward teenagers, then one day they look you in the eye and ask for the car keys. Where does time go?!
Thankfully, King won’t be driving any time soon. I am sure however, that he will look us in the eye…at least when we are sitting down. He romps through the house fetching his ball. He sounds like a small horse. So far there has been no collateral damage from his tail… but it may happen.
He brings a little joy into our lives. He has sure won us over. I guess I will continue to let him sit on my lap as long as he is able. It’s better than teaching him how to drive!
