It all starts here

I am not meaning to neglect my blog, dear readers, but I keep cramming too much stuff into my days. I guess it is a good problem to have, being healthy enough to stay so busy that is. I am thankful…and busy too 😮
Yesterday we got the foundation installed. It was good work, but hard work too. I haven’t done that in a while. Moving concrete blocks should be done every day… otherwise you will feel it the next day … everywhere!
Now, we must get the floor ready to pour. I am okay with shovelling, I do that often enough to keep those muscles in shape. I will say though, that my hired hand is even making me do less of that too. I guess I will have to beg him to let me help 😮
This is a great project. I have been able to work side-by-side with my son Josh and his friend, along with my helper. I can give and get, tips and feedback. Yesterday , I worked with the mason… I learned a lot, especially stuff like, leave the block laboring to a younger guy..he-he.
The foundation is well started on both the building and the young men who’s lives I touch. I hope to always be positive, helpful and encouraging. I know sometimes my disappointment shows up in the form of talking too loud (right Jake?), but my intentions are the best.
I know that in life and when building anything… It starts with a good foundation. Following this principle, will lead to good results..around here, I see it every day!
