The last few days of April found us to be very busy. We attended a local plow fun day for draft horses and friends. In the photo above, just to showcase the power of the draft horse, nine horses were put to a two bottom plow. This was a combination of teams from different teamsters and meant to please the crowd, which I think it did.

Our son and granddaughter took their team to the plowing event. I caught them all resting at lunchtime. The day was fun and a reminder that spring work is now in full swing as the soil gets worked for the crops to come.

We hosted a draft horse and farming clinic, personalized for a lady from Iowa. She did great, learned a lot and gained confidence to move toward her own farm dream.

Amee and Rubee moved to outside pasture for the day. They get sunshine, fresh air and the good spring grass.

Rosie and Blossom too are enjoying the beautiful spring days!
Hello May! Work here continues as we get the sugarhouse woodshed filled on wet muddy days and work in the fields and gardens when the weather allows. The best part is working with horses every day…and watching the babies grow!
