We Missed You

This has been a crazy busy month, made even worse for blogging by my computer not talking to my camera! I am not even sure if I have fixed the problem, but at least here we are!

The first of the month we were at our local county fair showing horses and having fun.

It was the first time showing for me. It was the second time in the cart for this little lady “Anna”. She did good. We had fun and look forward to next year.

Canning season has been in full swing, so we stayed busy making homemade tomato sauce and canning vegetables. Our carrot crop was great this year.

Of course there are the regular chores to do, lawn care and maintenance. We continue to train the young horses as well. We did take a little time off for fun, including parading our mares Amee and Abby in a local Country Days Parade.

Our 2024 foals are growing well. Our stallion Hank watches over his babies and their mommas. The whole herd is enjoying time on pasture and the green grass that comes with it. Soon it will be time to wean the babies from their mommas, but for now it is all bliss.

Our 2024 filly foals, Rubee, Blossom and Gabriel “Gabby” for short. Their daddy is on the left of the picture. Abby is in the background behind her baby Gabby.

Labor Day weekend is just about here signaling the start of the autumn season. We welcome some cooler weather as we work to get a few things completed. Hopefully our computer will play nice and I can share our farm adventures with you all…we missed you!

Great to have you back. You are “living many of our dreams.” Good pictures, by the way. Keep them coming.
