We have much to be thankful for this year. The blessings continue to flow! This is the last picture we have of Hank’s daughters from 2024. This is only 3 of them. I see some real draft horse prospects here. The Suffolk horse exemplified in their confirmation. They are very easy on the eyes.

One more view of our 2024 gals. “I like big butts and I cannot lie” good looking littles!

We are training young horses. We even took on a project for a customer who has a young 1/2 Suffolk in need of harness training. We are getting along quite well with her. She will be dragging an arena in no time becoming a valuable resource and earning her keep.

Her first day in her “big girl” pants! Actually her first time with a snaffle bit and a harness that she will be wearing as her training continues. We do all sorts of crazy things to prepare her for the unexpected as best we can. The sleighbells are part of our noise making. She is not bothered in the least.

We even drive her at night under the lights showing her the spooky shadows. She again did stellar. Our son Jake, drove her around for a half hour. This was her first time doing this too. She will be in the cart very soon as her training continues.

Today, is Thanksgiving day. The list is very long of all the things we are thankful for that is for sure. Many things come to mind but the number one thing that tops my list this year as my wife busies herself in the kitchen, is her. She is my everything! Last April, she fell up the stairs carrying in groceries and broke her neck! There were some concerning tense moments, but God healed her 100%.

So, yes we will be thankful for foals, crops, garden vegetables and safety in all things, but most of all we will be thankful for the family and friends in our lives and the God who sustains us all.
