Well, I am back!! After a six week recovery time after prostate removal surgery…I got the news that I am cancer free. Praise God. My wife has been doing all the chores while I was laid up.
It felt good to put on comfortable clothes as I rested and healed. Thankfully even the weather cooperated. It stayed unseasonably warm and dry. The horses could all stay out on pasture limiting the hands on type of chores and the manure that goes with it! My dear wife took it all in stride as she took care of me and all of our animal charges.
Our gelding in training “Murtagh” went to round pen training as he learned to work under saddle. He did very well.
Last night he completed his course with an excellent performance under saddle. He walked off and rode out nicely. I’m pretty proud of our boy. Hats off to Amanda his trainer as well.
So, now I can get back to the usual business of running the farm, working horses and bothering my dear bride.
