King is getting bored with my recovery. He thinks he has been patient long enough! He is still very careful around me, but watches me steadily for any sign that I am about to go outside! I too am bored, but recovering just the same.
The sun is shining bright. A soft breeze is blowing and you can almost hear the land drying out. I will take a while , but so far so good. This is a great day for folks to be out looking at the leaves and enjoying nature. I see many doing just that, from car and motorcycle alike. The county Covered Bridge Festival is this weekend. It sure is perfect weather for it.
The pastures are a brilliant green. The recent rains put them back in high gear with all the free nitrogen. The rain drops collect it, as they fall to earth. They give the plants a boost when they hit the ground. The frost has been non-existent so far. Only the changing color of the tree leaves, show the nearing end to the growing season.
Harvest season is in full swing … Are you ready yet?
