Duke enjoying his lunch

What a great time of year this is. The flies are minimal at best. The sun is bright and the temperature is warm but not overwhelming. It is time for the first of many bar-b-ques and the gathering of friends and family… It’s picnic time 😮
The grass is growing very well. The animals are having a tough time staying ahead of it …. don’t even ask about the lawn. I guess after last summer’s drought, the rains and fresh grasses are a blessing.
I had a fun day today. I spent time with several friends, took a nap and rescued a whole bee community … more about that in tomorrow’s blog.
The sun was setting tonight as I was doing chores. The cool of evening was upon the farm. The animals were all content and comfortable. The babies were all settling in for the night. Their full bellies were making them sleepy. I would say it was the end of a perfect day …life on the farm is a picnic …. For me at least 😮
