The rains continue to fall. The planting season is a bit delayed, but Spring is beautiful. We caught this double rainbow during a lull in a heavy downpour. It was breathtaking to say the least.

As the rainbow began to fade, the rains picked up hard again. The young horses paid it no mind. There were busy enjoying the lush spring grass. This time of year, we fill them up with hay before letting them graze awhile. It is easier on their bellies this way.
We had a busy Mother’s Day giving carriage rides in a nearby historical district.

Our son makes a trial run with his horses, Belle and Anna. They were champs! This is their last job for the season too. Our brood mares are all heavy in foal. These two start maternity leave in ten more days.

Shoutout to Riverbend Hotel for having us be part of their Mother’s Day brunch. Belle and Anna carried several families through the crowded streets , gliding along quietly. This makes for a celebration for sure as our carriage riders step back in time remembering the old-days.
It makes this old man feel good to have found my speck of dirt where I belong on this planet. I have surely found my pot of gold! The good Lord’s blessings abound!
