Brains over Brawn

This is our herd stallion Hank. He is watching one of his mares Amee and her new foal. He makes me proud. He is attentive , but not crazy. He does not exhibit rank stud behavior. Yes, he is curious, but he is not tearing out my gate!

He is a very good stallion. He turns four years old next week. He is proven with 4 live foals to his name and many more to come. He is my buddy who is easily corrected.

Hank puts his brains in his foals too. They are smart and willing. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Rubee, in the foreground is still “straightening out” from being folded up inside mom for 11 months. She is running and romping and doing very well.

Her daddy watches. I believe that he approves. I will take brains over brawn. These are tough draft horses with lots of heart and stamina. Hank puts the icing on the cake by passing along his smarts and attentive nature. We are very pleased.
